Where to Buy Film Cameras in the Philippines?

Last updated:

Film photography is not dead, it never was, and I don’t think it will ever go away. There are always people who find them fascinating, taking them as a hobby, including myself. Yes, the DSLR films were discontinued but some people refurbish them and there is also a new wave of reusable film cameras in the market. Below is the list of stores where to buy film cameras in the Philippines.

1. THE FILM GUILD – This is where I bought my vintage film camera, Konica C35 EF, the same model that Andy Warhol used. They have reasonable prices, and CLA’d the cameras before shipping it. They also offer 2 weeks warranty.

2. MVP CAMERA – aka Manila Vintage Camera, this one has a vast selection of film cameras and accessories. They’re both available on Shopee and Lazada. This is where I bought my Reto 3D and Ultra Wide cameras. They also sell those hard-to-find films such as Cinestill, Ilford, and many more.

3. FILM PEOPLE – Their tagline is “film is not dead” which is very fitting. You can also find them in Shopee. They sell instant cameras, reusable film cameras, and films including specialty ones. What I like about them is that they sell wallpics the latest film cameras on the market. I pre-ordered my Kodak Ektar H35 Half-Frame Camera from them.

4. FILM STOP CAMERA SHOP – This store is for you if you’re looking for vintage cameras. They have refurbished DSLR and point-and-shoot film cameras from brands like Canon, Nikkon, Pentax, Leica, Olympus, Minolta, Konica, Mamiya, Yashica, Ricoh, and Fujifilm.

5. KFILM SHOP – Like the store above, this one is also on Instagram and sells refurbished cameras. But what makes them different is that they have rarer vintage cameras like the Pentax Auto 110 which is the smallest film DSLR camera. They also have Ricohflex, Primoflex, Nikonos V, Kodak Pocket Instamatic 50, and more.

6. THE VINTAGE COLLECTIVE – This Shopee seller doesn’t have many products compared to all the stores listed here, but they do have Cinestill 800t and the iconic Nishika N8000 Lenticular camera.
