Bye Dark Spots: Some By Mi Galactomyces Pure Vitamin C Glow Toner Review

It has two of my most favorite brightening products: Galactomyces and Vitamin C. So did it really made my skin glow? Lightened my dark spots? WHAT IS IT?

The innovative Some By Mi Galactomyces Pure Vitamin C Glow Toner combines galactomyces and vitamin C, two of the most popular and effective brightening ingredients, to nourish skin back to health. It claims that it will give you a lit-from-within look, more radiant skin, and free from pigmentation while keeping it moisturized. It works on sunspots, acne spots, and even dark under-eyes! See results in as early as 28 days.

NOTABLE INGREDIENTS

This glow toner contains 88% of galactomyces and 10,000 ppm of vitamin C specifically an ascorbic acid. This is proof that Niacinamide and Vitamin C could really work together. The formula is also free of artificial fragrance and colors, parabens, sulfates, animal products, mineral oil, and silicone. PERFORMANCE

APPLICATION: After cleansing, pour an adequate amount of the Some By Mi Galactomyces Pure Vitamin C Glow Toner on a cotton pad and gently sweep across the face and neck. Pat gently using the fingertips for faster absorption.

SCENT: It has a strong acidic scent that resembles those chewable vitamin c tablets.

PACKAGING: It is packaged in a bottle just like any toner, however, this comes in a brown tinted one like a beer to avoid the sunlight and prevent it from oxidizing. I highly recommend storing this in its box and away from sunlight.

TEXTURE & FORMULA: It has a thick consistency which resembles the Purito Centella Green Level Calming Toner, it doesn’t feel sticky or greasy on the skin but it takes a while to set on your skin. It looks clear at first, but then it turned a little yellow in just the first week of opening it.

RESULT

Upon writing this review, my Some By Mi Galactomyces Pure Vitamin C Glow Toner is almost empty and completely brown. Oxidizing is normal for liquid skincare products with a high amount of Vitamin C, but this one oxidizes REALLY fast just like the CosRx Triple C Lightning Liquid. A week after opening it, it already has a hint of yellow and in just 3 months, it’s already brown.

Having said that, this is one of the best toners I have ever used! In fact, I like this way better than their famous Miracle Toner. This one claims that you’ll see results in just 28 days, but I already saw improvements in my skin in just 14 days. In just two weeks, my skin looks really brighter and my dark spots really lightened. And after a month, my dark spots VANISHED!

It’s just a bummer that my hormonal acne is stronger than any products I used, but at least when I started using this, the spots that my acne leave are not that dark anymore. And when I stopped using this because I didn’t bring it in my travel, it feels like my skin went back to its dull tone.
