Last December, I received an email if I would like to review some products from Cali White. Since it’s been a while since I tackled the topic of teeth on this site, and I haven’t really tried any teeth whitening products before besides a bleaching toothpaste, I agreed with it. So they sent me a bunch of interesting products. Instead of reviewing them all in one post, I decided to do it individually starting with the Cali White Vegan Botanical Teeth Whitening Pen review.
WHAT IS IT?

PERFORMANCE
APPLICATION: After brushing and drying my teeth, twist Pen to dispense gel and apply directly to the tooth surface. And then smile for 60 seconds to allow to dry. You can brush it off after several hours but the more time on the tooth surface the more effective the gel is.
SCENT: It smells like a Tic Tac mint.
PACKAGING: I actually love the pen design, it’s easy to bring anywhere especially when you travel. It actually reminds me of those retractable concealer pens. The brush is soft yet sturdy enough to apply the gel on your teeth.
FORMULA: I tried applying the Cali White Vegan Botanical Teeth Whitening Pen on the back of my hand one time, just to see if it has a white color. Because if it does, then it means it’s like it’s just painting our teeth to look white. But it doesn’t. It’s a clear gel.
RESULT: I actually gave this pen to my younger brother who is participating in the college pageant to represent their department. He likes to drink iced tea which actually stains our teeth by the way, so when he used this for the first time he informed me that the shade of his teeth actually improves. Nothing significantly, but it was a shade or two whiter than before. He has a photo, but he still hasn’t sent it to me before I posted this review. I’ll update this when he already send it.
VERDICT
PROS: It instantly whitens your teeth, nothing significant, only a shade or two in your first use but it improves over time.
CONS: My brother honestly hasn’t mentioned any cons. He didn’t get sensitive teeth either which is a common side effect of teeth whitening products.
