By 2010, technology tweaks included faster microprocessors and remote operator interfaces. These models became very popular across the applicator industry in a short time. Later, the remote operator interface had fully integrated touch-screen controls with an Ethernet interface option.

Typically in tamp-on labeling or touch-on labeling is usually used to label flat surface areas like shipping boxes. Secondly, wipe-on labeling is used for large-volume products or items. The third type of label application machine is the blow-on method. It is used for fragile products as it eliminates the need for the product to be handled and the labeling process occurs in a vacuum.
