My Summer Skincare Routine

Sunscreen is a Must-Have During Summer

Because of its harmful UV rays, the sun contributes to around 80% of aging in the face. This is the reason why outdoorsy people develop wrinkles and sunspots, even if they’re relatively young. Just an hour outside without sunscreen can do damage!

For this reason, I’m especially cautious in the summertime, and apply more sunscreen than necessary. I want to look as young as I can for as long as I can! I keep a few different bottles in my closet so that I can get some healthy color without burning.

The Benefits of Using Collagen Supplements

Collagen, like sunscreen, is extremely important for skincare. It is the glue that holds the skin together; without collagen, everything would sag and droop. The problem is that, with age, the body’s supply of collagen begins to dwindle, which causes wrinkle development.

To keep my skin healthy and elastic, I’ve been taking collagen supplements. It’s important to give my body the care it needs—I don’t want to look older than I already am! To further boost my collagen reserves, I’ve also been using skincare products that include collagen as an ingredient. It has only been a couple of weeks, but I already look more refreshed than I used to!

Using Facial Rejuvenation to Look My Best

My summer facial rejuvenation routine aims to increase my confidence and reinvigorate my appearance. Like a flower, the skin needs to be properly hydrated, or it’ll begin to wilt and droop! One of the easiest ways to keep your skin hydrated is with a moisturizer. During the warmer months, use a light moisturizer, and you’ll look better in no time.

Facial rejuvenation includes everything that helps the face look young and healthy, like exfoliators and creams, Botox Cosmetic, and even a mini facelift. A solid facial rejuvenation regimen is a surefire way to take years off your appearance!

Stay Hydrated with Water and Fruit

Believe it or not, diet impacts the quality of the skin. Drinking plenty of water, for example, is an important part of maintaining a vibrant appearance, because it improves the texture and complexion of the skin.

Eating plenty of fruits and vegetables is also an important part of skincare. It’s far better to eat a natural snack than to consume junk foods, since processed meals actually make your skin oilier and more prone to blemishes.

Limiting My Time Outdoors Even Though I Love Summer

I love being outdoors, especially in the summer. The weather is perfect for all sorts of activities, like tanning! It is, however, important to keep in mind that baking in the sun for hours at a time isn’t great for the skin. In fact, being in the sunshine without factoring in the consequences can cause all sorts of medical problems, not to mention make you appear older than you are!

Washing My Face Every Other Day to Get Rid of Oils and Dirt

Summer is the time for fun and play—there are so many exciting things to do! At the same time, it’s easy to get dirty, and to fill your pores with all sorts of contaminants. That’s why part of my summer skincare routine is washing my face every other day and occasionally exfoliating. I would cleanse daily, but too much washing can actually do more harm than good!

So, if you want to look as vibrant as you can, make sure to clean with purpose. Washing the face also stimulates blood flow and further encourages skin repair. The timing of treatments matters, too—for example, it’s best to exfoliate after washing, not the other way around.

A healthy skincare routine shouldn’t be too difficult to implement into your life. It’s all about commitment and consistency!
