3CE Take A Layer Multi-Pot Review & Swatch

Usually, 3-in-1 products are just a bunch of bulls**t. Most, just work better for one thing, and the claims that it also works for other stuff doesn’t really deliver. But there are instances that some products really do deliver and so, many brands will try to knock them off. But does this Korean 3-in-1 Korean product one of those? WHAT IS IT?

The 3CE Take A Layer Multi-Pot is a 3-in-1 formula for your lips, cheeks, and eyes to customize your makeup looks. It claims to have a highly pigmented formula that delivers vivid colors for a brightening effect on your lips, cheeks, and eyes.

KEY INGREDIENTS

It contains Arabian cotton, fermented vitamin tree, and shea butter to provide skin protection and nourishment with a barely-there feel. Interestingly, it also contains Gluconolactone which is an anti-aging ingredient and Titanium Dioxide which gives UV protection. Though the brand never claimed it has SPF. PERFORMANCE

APPLICATION: You can use your fingers to dab and blend it on your cheeks, lips, and eyes. But for cheeks, you can also use a foam blender. While for the eyes, it’s crucial to remove the excess oil first to minimize creasing before application.

SCENT: It has a mild powdery vanilla scent. Not too distracting, and it will not bother you once on your face.

FORMULA: 3CE Take A Layer Multi Pot has a cream to powder formula. The finish is powdery matte and highly pigmented. The colors really do pop in just one swipe.

PACKAGING: It comes in a gold compact light metal that comes with a mirror. The product itself has 4.2 grams. It is also packaged in a small box designed with 3CE’s minimalist millennial pink color.

FINAL EXPERIENCE

The 3CE Take A Layer Multi Pot lasts around 5-6 hours on my oily skin even without using any base. I prefer to use it on its own on my cheeks because I love how natural it looks, but of course, that depends on your skin tone and shade you will purchase. I am a morena (brown skin) and the shade Cabbage Rose looks really natural and lovely for me. It will really give you a “no-makeup makeup look”.

But if you have dry skin, you will really need to prep your skin with a moisturizing primer because it will be hard to blend on dry skin. Plus, it might highlight your dry patches.

While for the lips, it only lasts around 2-3 hours. And when you eat or drink, expect it’ll be gone soon. Though it still leaves a very light tent-like shade. But I like that it doesn’t transfer a lot like some crazy mess.

I don’t usually use this on my eyes honestly. But when I do, the shade really pops on my eyes and lasts long as well. Though it’s really crucial to remove excess oil because it tends to crease and wipe out easily.
