Once again I joined Style Korean’s “Try Me, Review Me” and I am lucky enough to get picked to do this Double Dare OMG Pulling & Peeling Gel Kit review. I have been curious about this brand since I saw the cute packaging and their oversized headbands. But are their products as good as their packaging? Keep reading to know more.
The box contains four items which are an oversized headband, silicone brush, OMG! Pulling Gel and the OMG! Pulling Gel. It’s actually a good Christmas gift to buy for your skincare junkie loved one or friend.
OMG! Peeling Gel Review
WHAT: It sloughs away dead skin cells and eliminates build-up of impurities and debris in the pores leaving skin visibly soft and smooth.
NOTABLE INGREDIENTS: The gel formula exfoliates and tightens pores with Papaya Fruit Acid and Lemon Fruit Extract while Vitamins C and E brighten and hydrate the skin. It also contains Hyaluronic acid helps replenish moisture revealing a smooth and radiant complexion. (CosDNA Analysis)
PACKAGING: It is packaged in a squeeze tube which makes the product easy to dispense and easier to apply. I hate it when peeling gels are packaged in a jar because you will need a spatula just to apply it. And I often losses my spatulas.
SCENT: It smells really sweet like a lemon candy.
USE: After cleansing, apply the peeling gel over entire damp face avoiding the eye and lip area. Gently massage in circular motions for 1-2 minutes and then thoroughly rinse it off with lukewarm water. Recommend to use 1-2 times a week.
FORMULA: At first look, it actually looks like a cream but it feels more like a “gel-cream” formula. It is lightweight and really easy to massage and wash off.
RESULT: Upon massaging, you’ll feel tiny skin debris (in Tagalog we call this libag) gently peeling away from your skin. It’s like when you use a loofa to exfoliate your body and tiny dead skins appear but unlike that the OMG! Peeling Gel is gentler and you’ll feel no pain. Actually, in the Philippines we have an exact word for this occurrence, we call it “naglilibag”.
After I wash everything off, my skin always feels so smooth and looks brighter. Well, the brighter part may be a placebo effect but the smoother and softer texture of my skin is indeed real. I use this twice a week, especially in the morning before any special event or occasion so my makeup will glide smoothly on my skin.
OMG! PULLING GEL REVIEW
WHAT: It gently pulls out stubborn blackheads, exfoliates with strawberry seeds and dissolves dead skin cells in the T-zone area to achieve a visibly clean complexion.
NOTABLE INGREDIENTS: Papaya Fruit Enzyme tightens pores while Alpha Hydroxy and Glycolic Acids brighten and refine for glowing results. It also contains hyaluronic acid and Jojoba seed oil hydrate and smoothes the skin. (CosDNA Analysis)
PACKAGING: It also comes with a squeeze tube but smaller. It can be purchased alone or in a kit with a silicone brush.
SCENT: The OMG! Pulling Gel also smells sweet like a strawberry candy.
USE: Apply a dime size amount of gel on clean, damp nose. Gently massage in circular motions for 2-3minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water. For more intense exfoliation, pair with the I.M. Buddy Mini Brush. Recommend to use 1-2 times a week.
FORMULA: Unlike the OMG! Peeling Gel, this one feels more like a gel, thicker, and kinda sticky. It has tiny scrubs and feels kinda warm. I figure it warms up a little because it could help widen the pores so it’ll be easy to pull out the blackheads.
RESULT: I don’t really have huge visible blackheads since I maintain a regular facial from a skin clinic (I am preparing for a wedding I will attend), but I like to use OMG! Pulling Gel as an at-home maintenance. As mentioned above it feels warm, but nothing painful for the skin. And you know what, my facialist says I don’t have that many blackheads in my nose. She almost didn’t find any, so she asked me what I was using. To her dismay, it’s none one of the products from their store.
