UNOVE Perfume Review: Complete Guide to Their Fragrance Line

I first came across UNOVE perfumes because of Mingyu of Seventeen, who happens to be their ambassador. That was the nudge I needed to finally try them out. Plus, since I already have their Rosy Aura Hair Mist (and love it), I went in with pretty high expectations. If you’re curious about other Korean fragrance houses making waves, I’ve also written a guide on Korean perfume brands you need to know. Bias aside, here’s my honest take on the full fragrance line.

UNOVE, a Korean brand better known for hair care, recently expanded into fragrances. Their perfume line feels very K-beauty-meets-luxury: chic packaging, sophisticated notes, and price points that don’t break the bank. I tried five of their perfumes, and here’s my ranking from favorite to least favorite.

Complete Review of Unove Perfumes

#1. Rosy Aura | Lovely & Vibrant

  • Top Notes: Red Berries, Pear
  • Middle Notes: Rose, Jasmine
  • Base Notes: Musk, Peach

This one was an instant winner for me. Partially because I already have the Rosy Aura Hair Mist, but mostly because the scent delivers. It’s floral, fruity, and sweet, but with a musky base that keeps it from smelling like candy. Think of it as a grown-up version of the classic rose perfume—romantic yet sophisticated. The scent is also close to my favorite Diptyque Eau Rose.

The staying power is around 2–3 hours, which is fairly standard for lighter perfumes. I honestly don’t mind reapplying because the opening burst of red berries and pear is such a mood-lifter. If you want something playful but still elegant, Rosy Aura is the safest bet.

My verdict: My ride-or-die from this line. If you only try one UNOVE perfume, make it this.

#2. Pure Orchard | Pure & Delightful

  • Top Notes: Korean Pear, Bergamot
  • Middle Notes: Lily of the Valley, Magnolia, Jasmine
  • Base Notes: Musk, Vetiver

Pure Orchard surprised me. The first spray instantly reminded me of nature—like grass, herbs, or that fresh smell you get after opening a window on a spring morning. But don’t be fooled: once it settles, the pear comes through, adding sweetness, while the musk and vetiver ground it.

It lasts 4–5 hours, which is pretty impressive for something so fresh. To me, this is the “safe blind buy” of the bunch. If you’re unsure which one to gift or try, Pure Orchard won’t disappoint.

My verdict: Clean, airy, and elegant. The kind of perfume you’d wear when you don’t want your scent to overpower the room but still want to smell polished.

#3. Oud Indigo | Androgynous & Daring

  • Top Notes: Black Pepper, Geranium
  • Middle Notes: Cedarwood, Ylang-Ylang, Leather
  • Base Notes: Musk, Amber, Oud

This one is unapologetically bold. Oud Indigo leans androgynous, but on my skin, it reads more traditionally masculine. The leather and oud combo is heavy, smoky, and sensual—perfect if you’re into darker, mysterious scents.

I wouldn’t call it my everyday perfume, but I see the appeal. It’s the kind of scent you’d wear on a night out when you want to feel powerful and magnetic. Definitely not for everyone, but for the right personality, it’s a showstopper.

My verdict: A daring, gender-neutral pick. If you like strong, smoky fragrances, this could be your new signature.

#4. Sensual White | Sensual & Cozy

  • Top Notes: Aldehyde, Lily of the Valley
  • Middle Notes: Jasmine, Tuberose
  • Base Notes: Musk, Powdery Notes

Sensual White gave me the biggest “plot twist” moment. At first spray, it smells almost like white chocolate—warm, creamy, and cozy. But once it dries down, the metallic notes sneak in, mixing with lily of the valley and powdery musk.

It lasts 2–3 hours, which is okay, but the metallic twist wasn’t my favorite. It’s unique, I’ll give it that, but it’s also polarizing.

My verdict: Interesting but not love-at-first-spray. I can see some people loving the cozy-sweet vibe, but for me, the metallic dry down was a dealbreaker.

#5. Amber Grace | Modern & Chic

  • Top Notes: Bitter Orange, Bergamot
  • Middle Notes: Pepper, Ginger, Violet
  • Base Notes: Moss, Amber, Cedarwood

Amber Grace is described as “modern and chic,” but on me, it mostly smells like leather. It’s sharp, a little bitter, and quite heavy. I wanted to like it—amber scents are usually my thing—but here, it feels slightly too harsh.

That being said, it could work beautifully on someone else. Fragrance is so personal, and I know some people enjoy that spicy-leathery vibe.

My verdict: Not for me, but worth sampling if you lean toward bold, warm fragrances.

Final Thoughts

UNOVE might be new to the fragrance world, but they’re definitely onto something. They immediately climbed to my top 1 favorite Korean perfume brand. Each perfume feels thoughtfully crafted, with clear personalities and stories behind the notes.

For me, Rosy Aura remains the standout. It’s vibrant, floral, and musky in the best way possible, and I’d happily repurchase it again and again. Pure Orchard comes in second because it’s universally likable and longer-lasting, while Oud Indigo earns points for being bold and gender-neutral.

Would I recommend UNOVE perfumes? Absolutely—especially if you’re curious about K-beauty fragrances or (like me) you’re a Seventeen fan swayed by Mingyu’s endorsements. Just keep in mind that, as with all perfumes, the right one for you will depend on your skin chemistry and personal taste.
