Ticketmaster has officially entered the Philippine entertinment scene after SM Prime and Ticketmaster announced their partnership, launching SM Ticketmaster as the country’s new ticketing platform for concerts, sports, and live events.

So if you’re planning to buy tickets for concerts in the Philippines through ticketmaster.ph, this guide will help you prepare before the inevitable online battlefield begins.

This guide is based on my personal experience using Ticketmaster Singapore, since many of the queueing systems and account mechanics appear similar across Ticketmaster platforms. Of course, some features may still vary depending on the organizer and event.

Also, important note first: Ticketmaster accounts are now more centralized globally. If you already have a Ticketmaster account from another country, like Singapore, you may be able to use the same username/email and password to log in to Ticketmaster Philippines.

Step 1: Create or log in to your Ticketmaster account early

Go to: ticketmaster.ph

Do not wait until ticket selling day to make your account. There’s verification process to confirm your phone number and email address and sometimes it takes a while to get verified since too many people are creating their own accounts too.

NOTE: If you already have a Ticketmaster account from Singapore or another supported country, try logging in using your existing credentials first.

Once logged in:

  • verify your email
  • verify your phone number
  • save your login information somewhere accessible
  • save your payment details if needed in somewhere accessible too like notes app

Step 2: Keep your account updated

Ticketmaster itself recommends making sure your account information is complete before ticket selling begins. This includes:

  • phone number
  • email address
  • accepted payment method

This helps avoid delays during checkout.

For Philippine mobile numbers, check the correct format required by the platform. Usually, international formatting works better:

The biggest mistake during ticketing is deciding while panicking.

Step 4: Read the presale mechanics carefully

Some concerts may have:

Ticketmaster mentions that some presales may even require a unique queue link sent by organizers. Not all presales work the same way, so read the official mechanics carefully before ticket day.

Step 5: Prepare your payment method

Have your payment details ready before entering the queue.

Prepare:

  • cardholder name
  • card number
  • expiry date
  • CVV
  • billing address
  • OTP-ready phone

Payment method available (based from the old SM Tickets platform:

  • Credit Card and Debit Card (Mastercard, Visa, and JCB)
  • Gcash
  • Maya
  • GrabPay

Also make sure:

  • your banking app works
  • your OTP notifications are enabled
  • your card is unlocked for online purchases

Step 6: Use only ONE device and ONE browser

This one is important because Ticketmaster specifically recommends:

one account, one device, and one browser

Joining the queue multiple times using different devices or browsers may affect your place in line. The other tabs will be automatically log out and worst case scenario, your account might get frozen. This happened to me in Ticketmaster Singapore during the Agust D ticket selling back in 2023. Luckily, I was able to contact the customer service and my ban was lifted the next day.

Based on my Ticketmaster Singapore experience, I personally had smoother results using:

  • Google Chrome
  • Microsoft Edge as backup

Avoid:

  • aggressive refreshing
  • multiple queue tabs

Step 7: Enter the waiting room early

This sounds funny but Ticketmaster actually recommends it.

There may be a queue notification sound once it’s your turn, especially if you step away briefly from your device. So yes, your concert future may depend on hearing a tiny notification bell.

You cannot exactly pick your seat, only the section. Instead they will give you the best available in your chosen section.

Step 9: Choose tickets FAST

When it becomes your turn:

  • select your preferred section immediately
  • you cannot exactly pick your seat, only the section. instead they will give you the best available in your chosen section.
  • proceed to checkout quickly
  • avoid overthinking

NOTE: If you’re buying tickets during Weverse fan club presale, this is the section where you will enter your presale code. You cannot choose a seat without entering your code during presale.

For high-demand concerts, hesitation is dangerous.

If your first section disappears:
move to your backup immediately.

Step 10: Double-check everything before payment

Before paying, verify:

  • concert date
  • venue
  • ticket quantity
  • section
  • seat number
  • total amount

Once confirmed, proceed with payment.
