Few K-beauty products have generated as much buzz as the d’Alba White Truffle First Spray Serum. This two-layer mist-serum hybrid promises instant radiance with a blend of antioxidants and oils—and yes, it looks every bit as luxurious as it sounds. The hype only grew when fans spotted it in a Run BTS episode and later on Suchwita with Suga and RM. Adding to its star power, Hoshi of Seventeen has even become an official ambassador for d’Alba. But is this spray truly skincare gold, or just expensive shimmer water? Let’s take a closer look.

What Makes d’Alba Popular
This isn’t your average mist. d’Alba’s spray serum has two visible layers—one oil, one serum water—that you shake to activate. The claim? Glow on demand, powered by Italian white truffle extract and vitamin E for antioxidant defense. Add plant oils like avocado oil, and you’ve got a product that straddles skincare and self-care.
It’s also marketed as vegan and non-comedogenic, meaning it won’t clog pores. That’s a relief if you’re worried about breakouts from oil-based products.

My Take on Performance
Spritzing this feels indulgent—like a spa day condensed into a bottle. The mist is fine, the packaging is sleek, and the immediate glow payoff is undeniable. Skin looks brighter and fresher, even if you were up too late binge-watching dramas.
I also like applying this before makeup. It helps to make my makeup look smoother, natural, and it prevents my foundation from pilling.
But beneath the glam, it’s more of a cosmetic hydrator than a treatment serum. It won’t overhaul deep dryness, wrinkles, or pigmentation, and the fragrance can be polarizing. Personally, it feels like a glow-booster you use when you want to look put-together fast, rather than a core part of a repair routine.
If your main concern is pores or barrier repair, you might like the PURCELL Colostrum Ampoule better—see my full review here.
Who Should Use It?
- Dry/Normal Skin: Great for an extra glow boost.
- Dull or Aging Skin: Excellent for radiance and antioxidant support.
- Sensitive Skin: Approach with caution due to fragrance.
- Oily/Acne-Prone Skin: Use sparingly; oil layer may feel heavy.
