Whether you’re heading to your favorite idol’s concert in the Philippines or traveling overseas for a big event, preparation is key to enjoying every moment. Over the years, I’ve refined my concert kit to include must-have items that ensure comfort, convenience, and style. Here’s my ultimate list of concert essentials—tested and proven during countless performances.
What Makes a K-Pop Concert Unique?
K-pop concerts are not just about the main event; they’re an all-day experience. Fans arrive as early as 7 AM for a concert starting at 7 PM to line up for exclusive merchandise and participate in fan activities. These include receiving concert gifts, trading photocards, and distributing fan-made merchandise to fellow fans. The energy, camaraderie, and vibrant fan culture set K-pop concerts apart, making them truly unforgettable. Also, the queueing can be very long and tedious thus having concert essentials is important to enjoy and survive the event.
NOTE: You don’t have to buy everything, just choose what you think will be helpful for you.

Gadgets Accessories
- Anker MagSafe Powerbank
- Taking photos and 4k fancams can drain your phone’s battery. Since 2022, I’ve relied on the Anker MagSafe Powerbank (buy here) for reliable, fast charging. Its compact design makes it perfect for long concert days. It has MagSafe but it overheats my phone so I still use an Anker cord to charge.
- Casetify Crossbody Phone Strap
- Carabiner Clips
- These handy clips are a game-changer! I hang my lightstick securely on my bag using a sturdy carabiner, ensuring it’s always within reach. The one I’m using is the metal type with a screw lock, but there are other cute alternatives in Shopee.
Beauty and Skincare Must-Haves
- Gatsby Oil Clear Sheet
- Concert days are long and sweaty, especially under the bright lights or in outdoor venues. My go-to oil control film, Gatsby Oil Clear Sheet (buy here), keeps my face oil-free and makeup intact all day. I like this one more than the other oil films because it has a little powder in it.
- The Face Shop Cheek & Lip Tint
- Double-duty products like The Face Shop’s Cheek & Lip Tint (buy here) add a fresh pop of color to my look while saving space in my bag. It’s also long-lasting.
- Decanted Perfume
- Smell great throughout the day by bringing a decanted perfume. Compact and easy to carry. In concerts, I often use perfumes that my favorite member uses.
- Sante Eye Drops
- Sante Eye Drops (buy here) can keep your eyes refreshed especially those with dry eyes. I started using this after I attended Follow Tour Again in Kanagawa after I saw Japanese Carats use this during the break. It’s not just for dry eyes, this Sante Eye Drops also have UV protection for the eyes.
- Okuchi Mouthwash
- I have braces so I keep my breath fresh with the portable Okuchi Mouthwash (buy here). It’s quick, effective, and perfect for on-the-go hygiene.
Hygiene Essentials
- Gatsby Cooling Deo Wipes
- Beat the heat with Gatsby Cooling Deo Wipes (buy full size or small size). These wipes not only cool you down but also keep you smelling fresh. They’re my all-time favorite!
- Wet Wipes and Facial Tissue
- You can never have too many wipes! Bring both wet wipes for sticky hands and facial tissue for unexpected spills or sniffles.
- Alcohol
- A must for sanitizing hands. Opt for a portable spray bottle to save space.
Extras For Comfort and Convenience
- Clear Wallet
- Organize your money, ID, and cards in a clear wallet. Mine has a carabiner clip that attaches securely inside my bag, making it easy to find. I bought this in Kiddyland in Japan, but you can get a similar one from Shopee (buy here).
- Photocard Case
- Never miss a chance to flex your bias! I use a Sanrio-themed photocard case (buy here) for cute photo ops with tickets and lightsticks near the venue.
- HYBE Rechargeable Lightstick Battery
- Don’t risk a dim lightstick! Keep it glowing with the HYBE rechargeable battery (buy here), which I purchased from CNA Philippines.
- Loop Earplugs
-
- Concerts can get loud, and prolonged exposure to high decibel levels can damage your hearing. That is why I decided to use Loop Earplugs (buy here) which provide a comfortable fit and reduce noise levels without compromising sound quality. Protecting your ears ensures you can enjoy many concerts to come without risking long-term hearing issues.
-
- Sunscreen
- I bring a small sunscreen with me to concerts because sometimes queuing can be hot so I want to protect my skin.
- Granola Bars
- Avoid hunger pangs by packing a quick snack like granola bars. They’re compact and energy-boosting.
- Foldable Water Bottle
- Stay hydrated without carrying a bulky bottle. A foldable water bottle (buy here) is lightweight and reusable.
With these concert essentials, you’ll be ready to enjoy every moment without the hassle. Whether it’s your first concert or your fiftieth, having the right items makes all the difference. So pack smart, stay comfortable, and have the time of your life cheering for your favorite artists!
