Just several weeks ago, there was a trend in TikTok where people buy toy flip phone makeup palettes, clean them, and decant their favorite makeup on them. And now, the Kbeauty brand Amuse released a lip and cheek in a flip phone palette as part of their Hello Kitty 50th Anniversary collaboration. They’re fast! As someone who loves the trend, of course, I bought one immediately, and here’s what I think of the Amuse x Hello Kitty Lip & Cheek Cellphone.
Packaging
As expected, the palette is very cute. Small enough to fit many bags. But I think it’s a missed opportunity not to put a hole where we can put a chain on it to make it a bag charm. It’s so trendy these days.

Product Shade & Formula
It comes in 2 sets, Apple Soda and Pink Soda. The one I have is the latter. The shades are pigmented enough for my morena skin tone and two-toned lips. Except for one because it’s a sheer gloss. The formula is creamy but not moisturizing at all for the lips, but not too dry either. Longevity, even on the cheeks, 2 hours is the best on my oily skin.
In conclusion, if you’re after the cute packaging, it’s nice to have it in your collection. I can use this as my daytime makeup when I go out for errands and don’t need something fancy. But if you’re after longevity or moisturizing lip products, this is not for you.
Once I hit the pan, since there’s not much product in it anyway, I am planning to refill it with my favorite blush and lip balm.

The collaboration also comes with Amuse’s lip tint, eyeshadow palette, cushion compact with a cute Hello Kitty puff, lip balm, brushes, and foundation all in a limited edition Hello Kitty packaging.
