Navy Pier

The Navy Pier in Chicago is located in the heart of the city and extends forth onto Lake Michigan. It’s a great place to bring the whole family for some fun. This is owing in great part to the 196-foot-tall Ferris Wheel. Not to add the iconic swing seat ride and carousel. When you add in the semi-weekly fireworks as an evening attraction, there’s nothing about this site that kids don’t enjoy!

Millennium Park

Millennium Park is a must-see destination for both visitors and locals of Chicago. A pair of 50-foot tall towers stand at opposing sides of a reflecting pool in the Crown Fountain. The faces of 1,000 random Chicago citizens are shown on LED screens installed within the skyscrapers.

Cloud Gate

The Cloud Gate, which is located inside Millennium Park, is another major Chicago attraction. The giant bean-shaped sculpture by artist Anish Kapoor, affectionately known as “The Bean,” weighs roughly 110 tonnes and is made of stainless steel. The Chicago landmark’s elliptical design, as well as the stainless steel, mirrors the city’s skyline. The term “Cloud Gate” comes from the fact that it reflects the clouds.

Chicago’s Art Institute

The Art Institute of Chicago has one of the greatest and most diverse art collections in the country, including an incredible collection of impressionist and post-impressionist works by masters such as Monet and Van Gogh.
