How to Shop in Amazon Japan & Ship it to The Philippines?

how to shop in amazon japan and ship it to the philippines

Since traveling is not an option right now due to the pandemic, a lot of us are turning to online shopping to fill the void. Recently, I notice that a lot of people are now shopping in Amazon Japan. Personally, I have been shopping there since late 2019 even though I’m based in the Philippines. And so I’m sharing here how to shop in Amazon Japan and ship it to your home in the Philippines. It’s actually almost the same process with Weverse, but a little easier.

STEP 1: Sign up to a forwarder

You will need to sign up for a forward because the majority of the sellers in Amazon Japan do not ship internationally.

Personally, I recommend BuyAndShip because they’re the cheapest among all I tried. You can even use my referral code 4408560997 to get 10 credits upon signing up. The only downside to them is that they don’t do proxy shopping for you, and sometimes their local partner courier in the Philippines sucks at handling the packages. In my experience, 2 out of my 3 packages arrived safely with no damage.

STEP 2: Sign Up to Amazon Japan & fill up your Japanese Address in Amazon

After signing up to Amazon Japan, you may go to your account and input your Japan address. You don’t need to translate everything because you can choose the language you prefer in Amazon Japan. Just go to the upper right side, find the Japan flag, click the drop-down and choose “en” to change the website’s language to English. And then proceed to fill up your address.

This step is only applicable if you choose BuyAndShip as your forwarder.

  • Place BnS USER ID after your name for easier sorting when your parcel arrived at our warehouse address.
  • Then, enter Buyandship’s Japan warehouse address for the shipping address.
  • In order to get Buyandship’s Japan Warehouse address, log in to your Buyandship account, under the ‘Overseas Warehouse Address’ section, click on the ‘Japan’ Tab. All you have to do is just copy and paste.

STEP 3: Shop like how you usually shop in any other online stores

As I mentioned above, you can change Amazon Japan’s language to English so shopping with them is easy.

STEP 4: Declare you shipment to BuyAndShip

This is the part most users forget to do. If you don’t declare your shipment in BnS before it arrives in their warehouse, your shipment may take a while or get lost.

Once you get your tracking code from Amazon JP, log in to your Buyandship Account, and immediately declare your shipment. All you have to do is:

  • Go to ‘Parcel Management’
  • Hit ‘Click Here to Add a New Shipment’
  • Enter the Warehouse you ship it to, in this case, select ‘Ibaraki, Japan’
  • If the email says which courier they use, select the respective courier. But if you don’t know, choose ‘Other Couriers,’ instead
  • Enter your Tracking Number
  • Fill out the Product Details (Click ‘Add New Item’ if you bought multiple items)
  • Check all of the Terms and Conditions
  • Hit ‘Submit’

STEP 5: Wait for your shipment to arrive in HK Warehouse

After the BuyAndShip Japan Warehouse received your package from Amazon Japan, they will forward it to their Hong Kong warehouse. When it arrived there, you can checkout your shipments separately or consolidate your shipments (not separate items) by ticking on the box next to your tracking number. Once each shipment arrives at the HK warehouse you have free consolidation services and 21 days of storage. If you want to checkout, fill out the checkout details, and proceed to payment.

As of now, BuyAndShip only accepts payment via Credit Card or Debit Card. They don’t have COD.
