A’Pieu Madecassoside Cream Review

Ever since Dr. Jart Cica Cream made a huge improvement in my skin’s health, Centella Asiatica aka Cica or Madeca has been my favorite skincare ingredient. It is soothing and helps heal acne, reducing post-acne marks. However, not all madeca creams are the same, as I have experienced from Madeca Derma Cream, which made my skin worst rather than healthy. But that didn’t discourage me from using other madeca cream brands. Keep reading my A’Pieu Madecassoside Cream review to know if this is worth buying or just another hyped-up product by social media.

CONS
It absorbs well into the skin, but you can definitely feel a little oil or balmy feeling.

PERFORMANCE

APPLICATION: After cleansing and toning, pour an adequate amount onto your hand. Gently pat over skin until fully absorbed. Follow with SPF or use it as the last step of your nighttime skincare routine.

SCENT: It has that herb scent common to centella asiatica products. But this one almost smell like floral than herb. It doesn’t bother my scentsitive nose tho.

PACKAGING: It comes in a plastic tube that is easy to squeeze.

FORMULA & TEXTURE: It has a gel-like texture and easily absorbs into the skin.

MY EXPERIENCE

At first, I thought it was a bit too heavy for my oily skin. But it’s not! It only felt like that when freshly applied or when you applied it after a heavy serum. It may seem a bit heavy as you apply as well, but it feels okay not long after. It gets absorbed pretty well. It is moisturizing without being too heavy which a good for my skin especially that I live in a very humid tropical country.

It also does feel nourishing and works well with my other anti-acne products. Overall, this moisturizer is quite good if your skin needs to be soothed and healed. I would definitely recommend this to people who have sensitive skin as well. However, I don’t notice changes in the dark pigmentations/acne marks on my skin but it acts like some sort of ointment I put to calm my face when I use chemical peeling products.
