get CBD without THC

How can you get CBD without THC?

One of the most common concerns that people who want to try CBD products have is, “Will CBD get me high?” We can tell you positively that the answer to this question is a big “no”. This is very true when you are making use of Joy Organics products.

Broad Spectrum Hemp and CBD

Just like two brothers are different from each other, hemp and marijuana are as well. Marijuana comes under the high-level category of the Cannabis sativa family. It includes tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). This is a psychoactive chemical substance which is present in this type of Cannabis sativa.

Hemp is a different type. Under state law, hemp has not more than 0.3% THC in its genetic structure. If it comes out higher than that, it is legally called the schedule 1 controlled compound known as marijuana. Legally authorized hemp cannot get a person high. Therefore, a group of Kentucky farmers legally filed for the legalization of hemp in 2014.

Farm Bill of 2014

The 2014 Farm Bill gave permission for the sale of hemp items across 50 states. It also made it legal to grow hemp if the state the person lives in allows for the cultivation.

Until recently, to cultivate hemp, a person must apply for permission under their state. From there, they must agree that the intention to grow hemp was for educational purposes, research or in accordance with the state’s program.

For instance, Joy Organics uses high quality hemp that is accorded with the Farm Bill. Hence there is no chance that the products will get a person high. However, the company makes sure that the THC is not present in the final stage except the phytocannabinoids stay in place. The company also uses third-party labs to be clear that there aren’t any levels of THC in their products. These are the processes they use to deliver the highest quality CBD without THC

Drying the Naturally Grown Hemp

The company gets its hemp from super healthy soil in the U.S. After the hemp reaches their warehouse, they dry it completely. When the hemp is ready for the CBD products, they crush the dried-hemp into a rough powder. After the process is complete, the hemp goes to the manufacturing plant.

Extracting the Oil

The company makes use of the plant during the process, but they do not utilize the entire plant in the product! Relying on the product they create; they go through a hemp extraction process and purification process.

The most basic way to get CBD is by the process of CO2 extraction. There are three ways to reach this:

  • Supercritical (most common)
  • Subcritical
  • Mid-Critical

No matter the way, the extraction takes place by the force of pressurized carbon dioxide. Machines will freeze carbon dioxide gas. They then press it into a supercritical structure that consists of a cold liquid. When it comes in touch with the hemp plant, those gaseous compounds will turn into a solvent. They will get the valuable phytochemicals out of the plant material.

Details of the manufacturing steps

To control the terpenes, this process takes place at low temperatures as -69 degrees F. Pressure increases slowly to around 75 pounds per square inch. This is the starting point for removing CBD with carbon dioxide.

Once the perfect spot is there, you would want to keep raising the temperature. This is a moment in the genetic structure of carbon dioxide. The vapours of carbon dioxide cover a container that holds the advantageous chemicals of hemp.

However, carbon dioxide still is in a liquid-like state. That is why its cold temperatures let the cannabinoids to get a break and tie-up with carbon dioxide molecules. As the temperature slowly rises, those cannabinoids will be let out when the carbon dioxide turns into a gaseous form.

Refining the Process

Once the extraction process completes, you will be left with several plant material that you do not require. It needs to be set apart from all the valuable stuff.  Cannabinoids and terpenes will go together while supercritical carbon dioxide enters a condenser. In this stage, it will be formed into a liquid and filled into a storage tank for the future.

During this stage, the segregation of fats and solids from the phytocannabinoids takes place. In the end, the products include a variety of cannabinoids, terpenes and other substances.

Having all these compounds give further enriches the advantages of the final product. This is because cannabinoids are proven to have an abundance effect on one another. Thus, in the presence of other cannabinoids, their advantageous features are amplified.

Distilling Out the THC

Once all the phytocannabinoids are gone, the distillation process takes place. This takes the solid plant matter out of the substance. However, THC stays back. At Joy Organics, the benefits that each of the phytocannabinoids in hemp plants must give. The users can enjoy it without worrying about the THC.

Using high technology, the machines remove THC, wax, chlorophyll and other pigments. The people get results from third-party labs. Each product that is made in the facility is tested for quality and purity.

Benefits of CBD Without THC

As it is known, broad-spectrum hemp oil is with phytocannabinoids inside, i.e. CBD without THC. Having all these authentic plant chemicals is what makes CBD products so advantageous to many. Here are some benefits of THC free products

Throughout the body are a variety of synapses, molecular highways and complex structures called the endocannabinoid system.

The endocannabinoid structure connects with a variety of receptors in the body. The receptors are calm when everything is fine in the body, but they go in panic mode when something goes wrong.
