I have been using this essence for over 2 months now. But over a year ago, I was using its ampoule counterpart that I totally love to the point when I’m feeling lazy it’s literally the ONLY skincare product I use at night after cleansing. WHAT IS IT?
The By Wishtrend Quad Active Boosting Essence claims to be a powerful yet lightweight essence made for oily and acne-prone skin. It is recommended as a serum booster and helps with anti-inflammatory, anti-pollution, and anti-bacterial effects to maintain your skin to stay healthy and lively.
NOTABLE INGREDIENTS
This contains ‘Quad Active’ Ingredients: 3 Complex Ingredients (Morus Alba Bark Extract, Nelumbo Nucifera Leaf Extract, Schisandra Chinensis Fruit Extract), Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Centaurea Cyanus Flower Water, and Propolis that are known anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial. PERFORMANCE
APPLICATION: Apply 3-4 drops on your palm and gently pat over the face. Pat lightly until it fully absorbs. It is recommended to use this product in between toner and serum step.
SCENT: Unsscented
PACKAGING: It comes with a glass bottle and a matching box.
TEXTURE & FORMULA: As expected from essence, it’s a little thicker than a toner but lighter than a serum or ampoule. The By Wishtrend Quad Active Boosting Essence is not tacky but it takes a while to absorb into the skin.
MY EXPERIENCE
I had high expectations from this product since I love the By Wishtrend Polyphenols in Propolis 15% Ampoule, and they go together really great. However, if you’re going to ask me which one I prefer if you ONLY going to buy ONE product between them, I say go for the ampoule.
Don’t get me wrong, I like the By Wishtrend Quad Active Boosting Essence. It did plump my skin, improved my skin tone, and I did ditch my current toner upon using this product, but if you’re already using a good toner like the Hada Labo Gokujyun or something similar, you don’t really need this product. I just find it redundant.
But if you’re using an acid toner or serum like AHA or BHA, then this can help boost those products and keep your skin hydrated. For reference, I used this essence with my Dr. Wu Mandelic Serum, it was a better pair compared to I’m From Rice Toner.
