BLK Cosmetics 2019 Holiday Collection Swatch & Review

Christmas came early! Because BLK Cosmetics 2019 Holiday Collection just dropped in stores and on my doorstep! Yes, I’m one of the few people who got first dibs on their latest holiday collection. They have new limited edition shades of their best-selling products packaged in ready-to-gift boxes and even ornaments, and they also have a new sparkly product that I am currently obsessing about.

Seriously, I love this collection, I don’t know where to start!

From left to right: Garnet, Moonstone, Red Coral, and Rose Quartz

I guess I should start with the BLK Little Luxuries Merry Mousse Box since I find this one the easiest to gift. No makeup junkie would say no to this! Also, the packaging can be gifted as is already, or you can hang it on your Christmas tree.

This a limited edition blk Holiday Mini Soft Matte Mousse Set cost only P1,149 and it contains 4 miniature tubes of velvety mousse in holiday limited edition shades: Garnet, Red Coral, Moonstone, and Rose Quartz.

They didn’t change the formula of these soft matte mousses, they are still as pigmented and lightweight as the other editions that lasts up to four hours on the lips… if you didn’t eat and drink. You can read my full review of the BLK Soft Matte Mousse here.

The PR kit also contains the Blk Cosmetics Holiday All-Day Intense Matte Lipstick in Pink Sapphire shade and the Blk Cosmetics Holiday Mini Creamy All-Over Paint in Sunstone shade.

The All-Day Intense Matte Lipstick in this collection is the new formula that was first introduced in their Universal Collection which feels smooth and comfortable on the lips, unlike their old formula which felt dry. It cost Php299 and comes in 2 shades: Pink Saphire (the one I got), and Crystal Rose.

As mentioned in my previous review of the BLK Creamy All-Over Paint, it is the affordable dupe of the cult-fave Glossier Cloud Paint but better packaging. The formula is also the same which is super light, easy to blend and has a natural-looking finish. The only difference is the holiday edition comes in new chicer packaging and thinner wand. Not sure if this will be the new look of the Creamy All-Over Paint now or it’s just for the holiday, but I prefer this new look.

It cost Php299 which is Php100 cheaper and comes in 3 shades: Red Diamond, Sunstone (the one I got), and Pink Topaz.

So pretty!

The Shimmer Jelly Multi-Pot is their new product that I am currently obsessing about. As it says in the name, you can use this on your cheeks, eyes, collar bone, shoulders, wherever you like. It cost Php349 per pot and comes in 2 shades: Pink Pearl (the shade I got) and Pink Amethyst.

The texture feels like a mix of jelly and cream but it feels really light, super soft, and so easy to blend. It is also VERY shiny yet you will not see an actual glitter. Which I love because it means you’ll not end up with scattered glitter all-over your face, it will not move around.

blk cosmetics mini sparkle gloss in snow quartz and mini mascara review

I found these two under the shiny confetti when I was about to clean the PR box. Thank goodness I checked! The last two items are the Mini Sparkle Gloss and Mini Mascara.

And I’ll start with the mascara, I don’t have anything to say about this yet because I haven’t opened it yet. I don’t use mascara on a regular basis, only on special occasions like a wedding, attending a teenager’s debutante ball, charity gala, or anywhere I will need to wear a formal gown. I either giveaway all the mascaras I receive or I keep them in their package until I actually need them.

Snow Quartz (upper right-hand side)

While for the BLK Mini Sparkle Gloss, this is the first-ever lip gloss I tried from this brand. I heard some good reviews about it based on their Birthday Edition which was heavily compared with Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb.

To be honest, the last time I used gloss was around 2016 when I tried the Kylie Cosmetics Lip Gloss. From what I remember, lip gloss feels so heavy and greasy, but this one from BLK isn’t! Yes, it still feels a little tacky but it’s NOT uncomfortable greasy like you ate a Lechon. It just feels like you’re wearing a moisturizing lipstick. As expected, it has a sheer color but it’s quite sparkly without actually seeing big-ass glitter which is common for sparkly glosses. Overall, I like it. I will use this as a lip topper if I am feeling extra.

The Mini Sparkle Gloss cost Php259 each and comes in 2 shades: Snow Quartz (the shade I got) and Diamond.
