The 3-Step Dr. Oracle A-Thera Skincare Routine That Healed My Hormonal Pimples Much Faster

When “shark week” is coming some women like me experience 3 kinds of pain: 1) The pain of the period, 2) the pain of pressing down the chin where a cystic pimple is about to emerge, and 3) the pain of dealing with that cystic acne for the next two weeks. Below are the three products that significantly help me deal with this. But before I start my Dr. Oracle review, let me tell you how I got my hands on them.

Soko Glam sent me these products. I didn’t choose them, their skin experts recommended it to me after they asked some things about my skin. I never used Dr. Oracle before but I do hear great things about the Peeling Sticks before.

Take note, I didn’t use them all at the same time at once. I slowly incorporate them one by one in my skincare routine.

FIRST STEP: TONER

dr. oracle a-thera toner review

WHAT: Dr. Oracle 21;STAY A-Thera Toner claims to instantly calm inflamed acne and pumps skin with antioxidants to help skin heal faster and stay hydrated. This hard-working toner is what you need to eliminate excess sebum and clear up skin faster.

NOTABLE INGREDIENTS: Its main ingredient is a bamboo extract, which adds sufficient moisture to skin while green tea extract works to protect skin from environmental stressors. It also contains Centella Asiatica extract which promotes wound healing. You can read its full ingredient analysis in Skin Carisma.

SCENT: It has a mild soothing scent that I can only remember smelling from baby bath products.

TEXTURE & FORMULA: Despite being packaged in a pump bottle, it has a clear watery toner so you will really need a cotton pad to apply this on your face.

MY THOUGHTS: I thought I wouldn’t like this toner because, for the past few years, toners that really worked on me are 1) those with a thick formula like the Klairs Supple Preparation Toner, and 2) those that contain acids like the Some By Mi Miracle Toner, or 3) a mix of both like the Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner. But this Dr. Oracle toner with Centella Asiatica combined with Green Tea is equally powerful as my previous toners with acids or actives, and much better than the cult-fave Klairs toner. I was on the verge of another skin breakout when I finally decided to use it and a week later I was so surprised and relieved I didn’t have any nasty pimples around my face! I also tend to get those tiny itchy bumps like a rash and this toner got rid of it. After 3 days, they’re almost gone!

VERDICT

PROS: It can really calm an inflamed pimple. It doesn’t feel tacky, greasy and doesn’t sting. It also soothes itchy skin. Perfect for those with oily and sensitive skin.

CONS: I don’t see any cons.

WHERE TO BUY? Dr. Oracle A-Thera Toner is available on Soko Glam for $32.

SECOND STEP: Spot Treatment

WHAT: Dr. Oracle 21;STAY A-Thera Tea Tree Peeling Stick is a spot treatment that uses AHA and BHA, powerful acne-fighting acids, to effectively clear pores and blackheads. This peeling stick is shaped like a huge cotton swab, allowing for precise application to get into the nooks and crannies. It claims that blemishes will disappear faster and skin will look calmer after using these peeling sticks.

NOTABLE INGREDIENTS: Lactic acid gently lifts dead skin cells while glycolic acid works to exfoliate and resurface the skin, smoothing bumpy skin texture. It also contains a blend of tea tree extract, lemon extract, and bamboo extract works to naturally exfoliate without irritating skin. You can read its full ingredient analysis in Skin Carisma.

SCENT: It has the same scent as the toner but a little stronger, but it will still not bother you if your “scentsetive”.

TEXTURE & FORMULA: It feels a little tacky on the skin, so you have to be patient for it to set. It kinda stings when you have an open pimple or when you use this when your acne’s head is already showing. Otherwise, it feels nothing.

MY THOUGHTS: This is 4x bigger than the usual cotton swabs we use to clean our ears. But if you’re a pet owner, then you’ll know it’s exactly the same large size cotton swab we use for our furry babies’ ears. It contains a lot of product inside the packet, it can cover my entire face! But this treatment is too powerful, so you should only use it once or twice a week.

Though, I only use this only when I have a cystic pimple and so only twice a month. But oftentimes only once a month is enough for me because I use this with the toner above and By Wishtrend Polyphenols in Propolis 15% Ampoule the next morning. That routine gave me a really good result, it’s been almost 5 months since I last used a foundation.

VERDICT

PROS: One peeling stick contains a lot of product enough for an entire face instead of just one spot. It works as fast as 3 days on calming and healing a cystic pimple. This is not also as wasteful as I thought, because a box contains 10 Dr. Oracle A-Thera Tea Tree Peeling Sticks.

CONS: It stings and feels a little tacky.

WHERE TO BUY? This Dr. Oracle A-Thera Tea Tree Peeling Sticks is available on Soko Glam for $24 per box which contains 10 sticks.

THIRD STEP: Emulsion

dr. oracle a-thera emulsion review

WHAT: Oily skin also needs hydration to prevent pores from going into overdrive and producing even more oil. This lightweight Dr. Oracle 21;STAY A-Thera Emulsion provides the moisture that inflamed acne-prone skin craves. This is lighter than a moisturizer and more substantial than an essence, this emulsion leaves oily skin plump and moisturized without causing additional breakouts.

NOTABLE INGREDIENTS: It contains bamboo extract which works to provide just the right amount of hydration while keeping the skin’s oil level in balance, along with green tea extract to help soothe and depuff irritated skin. You can read its full ingredient analysis in Skin Carisma.

SCENT: This has the same scent as the toner but more powdery.

TEXTURE & FORMULA: It absorbs fast into the skin. It feels a little tacky at first but after a few seconds, your skin feels moisturized yet a little matte. I know, sound so oxymoron.

MY THOUGHTS: I never used an emulsion before, and this one was truly a new experience for me. I love how light it is compared to moisturizers so perfect for those with oily skin like me and also as hydrating as my essence. I really stopped using my moisturizers and essence the moment I tried this. I still use my serum but this emulsion really contributed a lot in making my skin look smoother after my period.

VERDICT

PROS: It feels moisturizing, hydrating and made my skin feel smooth.

CONS: Not moisturizing enough for those with dry skin.

WHERE TO BUY? Dr. Oracle A-Thera Emulsion is also available on Soko Glam for $34.

FINAL THOUGHTS

dr. oracle 21;stay a-thera review
This is me and my Kat (yup, that’s her name) with ZERO makeup, not even a tinted sunblock.

After using all these Dr. Oracle products, I will definitely purchase them. These are one of the best products I ever tried, I highly recommend this for people with oily and sensitive skin who are prone to acne. I wouldn’t say my skin is already perfect, as you can see from my photo closely, I still have some dark spots visible, but I’m already confident enough not to wear foundation for ~almost~ 5 months now. For context, this is my skin earlier this year.
