By Wishtrend Acid-Duo 2% Mild Gel Cleanser Review

I am a sucker for beauty products with pink packaging, and so does many beauty influencers on Instagram. But just because they have cute packaging, it doesn’t necessarily mean they work great. This gel cleanser was launch late last year with the Polyphenols in Propolis 15% Ampoule, and I was really impressed by that ampoule. I ended solely using it after cleansing my face whenever I feel lazy or too tired to do the remaining of my skincare routine. But was I also impressed with this product? Scroll down to read the By Wishtrend Acid-Duo 2% Mild Gel Cleanser review.

VERDICT
MY THOUGHTS
The By Wishtrend Acid-Duo 2% Mild Gel Cleanser neither made my skin feel moisturized or dry, it was something in the middle of it. Maybe that's because it has a mix of BHA and PHA. It also prevents bacterial acne really well.
PROS
It cleanses the skin really well and can remove light makeups.
It is neither moisturizing nor drying on the skin so it is great for both dry and oily skin.
CONS
I see no cons really.

PERFORMANCE

APPLICATION: Dispense an adequate amount and lather up between hands. Gently massage onto the face and rinse with, preferably, lukewarm water.

SCENT: It doesn’t really have any scent. You’ll just smell some generic “unscented cleanser scent” in it if you know what I mean.

PACKAGING: As mentioned in the intro, it comes in pink packaging, both the plastic pump bottle and the box. But the box is a metallic pink which makes it look a little glamorous.

TEXTURE & FORMULA: The gel cleanser looks really clear/transparent when you dispense it on your skin, but it looks kinda pink on the bottle and on the photos that Wishtrend released. It is also quite thick and sticky, but once mixed with water and a little lather between your hands, it foams up and becomes light enough, easy and gentle on your face.

MY EXPERIENCE

Despite containing Salicylic Acid, which is a good anti-acne ingredient, it is indeed really mild. It doesn’t feel drying on the skin. In fact, my skin feels neither moisturized or dry. Maybe that’s because it has a mix of BHA and PHA. It also really cleanses my skin and prevents bacterial acne really well.

The By Wishtrend Acid-Duo 2% Mild Gel Cleanser can also remove light makeups like the It Cosmetics CC Cream Your Skin But Better, and other BB Creams that aren’t waterproof.

Another thing to consider is that I never broke out with this gel cleanser despite most foaming cleansers often does on my skin. Though I still get a pimple during my “red days” but I never once experience an annoying and painful cystic acne caused by bacteria or makeup while I am using this cleanser. I never had whiteheads or blackheads too. If I do, only those that facialist can extract upon looking on their big-a** magnifying lenses.
