PRODUCT REVIEW: Sunnies Face Lifebrow Duo in Warm Brown

Lifebrow Skinny Pencil

  • 1.55mm
  • 0.05g of product
  • Has a precise tip to easily create hair-like strokes to shape and fill in the brows
  • Price: Php 295

Eva’s Thoughts:

  • Packaging is sleek, nice, and simple
  • A retractable brow pencil with a spoolie that is not rough is always a plus for me and this is one of those.
  • The shade is not that warm compared to other warm browns in the market but it still delivers the shade that fit those with dark hair. Mine’s naturally black.
  • It could create hair-like strokes, but I would still prefer brow liners (think K-palette) for that job honestly.
  • Quite costly for the amount of product you get but if you think of it it’s good enough for the budge-proof quality and wears time.
  • The formula is buildable, pigmented but quite stiff and not creamy. The reason could be it’s made to last long because in effect it is smudge-proof, doesn’t transfer at all, and lasts the whole day!
  • It sets completely in about a minute or two.
  • Overall easy to use BUT you have to have the lightest hand. Swipe gently and carefully because it’s skinny, it breaks very easily. Mine broke 3 times already. Only twist up a teeny tiny amount.

Would I Repurchase?

I may if I need something that should last a loooong time. This is perfect for the hot, you’re-gonna-sweat days. The fact that it doesn’t really move once set just impressed me. I hope they make something broader in size just so it’s not as fragile.

Lifebrow Grooming Gel

  • 4g of product
  • A stay-all-day brow gel that has a tree-shaped brush to coat every hair
  • Claims to be waterproof, smudge-proof, life-proof
  • Price: Php 345

Eva’s Thoughts:

  • The brush surprised me. It is super small so it does a good job at coating the hair strands. It fills in well making the brows bushy.
  • It sets easily that’s why once you’re done with a certain area it would be quite hard to go over it again.
  • Just wondered why the wand’s handle is longer than the actual gel container. Made me think this is also quite costly for the amount of product you get but then also fair enough given the waterproof and smudge-proof formula. It is what it claims guys. This is meant for sweat and swimming.
  • I would normally remove my makeup with a micellar water first but with this product you have to use a good waterproof makeup remover. I was blown away because I am used to removing my brow makeup with micellar water only.

Would I Repurchase?

Given the reasons stated above, I will. Is there any other less than 400 pesos brow mascara that has the same formula? Haven’t found yet so I must say this is a win.

According to Eva, all these products are paraben and cruelty-free. Both are also made in Korea. You can see more photos and the smudge test in the @girlknowswhat post on Instagram.
