Before I start my review of this product, I am addressing the elephant in the room. Titi Kamal is a famous actress and singer in Indonesia who has her own makeup line which recently has a collaboration with Althea, a popular online store in Southeast Asia. The reason why there are so many “haha” reactions in Althea’s post promoting this body mist is that the name “Titi” means a male “private part” in Filipino. I know, it’s really immature but don’t be fooled by it, this Titi Kamal x Althea Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist review might be hard to do because it’s kinda difficult to describe a scent thru words but I assure you that this is a wonderful product.
WHO IS TITI KAMAL?
For those not familiar with her yet, Titi Kamal as mentioned above, is an Indonesian actress and singer. She has a knack for fashion and style, best identified by her luxuriously long black hair. She’s a beauty icon that’s captured the hearts of fans all across Southeast Asia.
WHAT IS IT?
Titi Kamal x Althea Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist is a sparkling mix of sweet orange and peach, followed by an ever-graceful echo of rosy floral notes. Not overbearingly strong, this gentle perfume lingers on the body for a long-lasting scent. It also has a non-sticky formula that feels comfortable on the skin, and it embodies the elegance and beauty of Titi in a bottle, perfect for the urban femme.
KEY INGREDIENTS
Damask rose water – Keeps the skin hydrated and gives a gentle fragrance
Orange Flower extract – Refreshes the senses
Elder flower extract – Cools and soothes the skin, while giving out a feminine scent
PERFORMAMCE
APPLICATION: Spritz all over the body in a light layer before you head out the door. Personally, I like to spray it above my head and let it fall down on my entire body.
SCENT: It really does have a mix scent of floral and fruit but the floral scent is much more dominant.
PACKAGING: It comes in a plastic spray. It does not feel luxurious, but it has a vibe like those affordable Victoria’s Secret body sprays.
RESULT: The Titi Kamal x Althea Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist is indeed lightweight and non-sticky. At first spray, it smells more like a floral mist, but interestingly, after 2 hours it started to smell sweet like a marshmallow. I’m not sure if it happens because of my body’s pH because a perfume’s scent and longevity depend on our body’s pH levels. So what may smell good on others, may not smell as good on you.
VERDICT
PROS: It smells good and turns more sweet in hours, non-sticky, lightweight, and so easy to spray.
CONS: The floral scent is much stronger than the fruity scent. But this may not be a con to other people. I’m not just that a fan of floral scents.
OVERALL: It’s a good affordable body mist. It lasted around 4 hours on me and depends on your body’s pH level, the scent turns sweeter.
