This post was inspired from a viral photo I can no longer find in Facebook. The original list is quite a few in my opinion, so I decided to add more things that I do notice not only in the beauty industry but also in some cultures as well that I considered as an unnecessary “shade” because it’s already 2019! There are things that people should stop pointing out already accept, or just, ya know… be a little sensitive about it.
- Acne – I don’t like repeating myself, so I’m just going to redirect you to my post about how I got rid of my acne and at the same time accepting it.
- Body Hair
- Body Weight
- Skin Color – This one infuriates me the most. People come in different sizes and color, and there is no “blueprint” to consider someone beautiful.
- Cuts & Scars
- Crooked & Misaligned Teeth
- Sweat – And no, body odor is different.
Of course, people who will be against my list can always argue that it’s just their “opinion” and exercising their freedom of speech. Well, in my year of studying theology in my junior year in high school, I learned “freedom is an exercise of the conscience.” Meaning, you may have freedom but you still have no right to be an a**hole.
