I know Mediheal for a while now since a lot of people are raving about their sheet masks especially on Reddit. So when I received an email asking if I want to receive the Mediheal x BTS Limited Edition Set, I immediately replied yes. Not only because I’m interested in the brand, it’s also because I know that many of my readers are not just k-beauty junkies but also avid k-pop fans who may be interested in this box set.

WHAT’S IN THE BOX?
The Mediheal x BTS comes in 4 variants: Soothing Care Set (green), Moisturizing Care Set (white), Hydrating Care Set (blue), and the one I received is the Brightening Care Set (black) which perfectly suits my skin needs. The set contains:

Even the packaging of each sheet masks are unique from those ordinary Mediheal sheet masks you could buy, they have “BTS” printed on each one with a minimalist design.
Mediheal Tea Tree Care Solution Essential Mask Ex Review
WHAT: This sheet mask is included in all Mediheal x BTS Sets. It contains tea tree oil that will soothe your sensitive, irritated skin, and provides care for enlarged pores with excessive sebum. This is also Jung Kook and J-Hope’s pick. They said this is their trusted quick fix for skin emergencies before concerts and big events.

HOW TO USE: After cleansing, apply the sheet mask gently and smooth out the edges. Leave it on for 10-20 minutes.
SCENT: It smells exactly like Tea Tree Oil but milder.
TEXTURE: This is the thinnest sheet mask I ever used, so be careful when unwrapping the mask and smoothening out the edges because it will tear easily. The essence is also thicker than most I see in other sheet masks I used before. It feels cool on the skin even when you didn’t keep it in a refrigerator which I know my pores will love.
RESULT: When I used this Mediheal Tea Tree Care Solution Essential Mask Ex for the first time, my skin feels rough, a little reddish, and there were little bumps all over my skin. When I removed the sheet mask after 20 minutes my skin feels so smooth, hydrated. It was also soft again, no redness and most of all, the little bumps were literally gone! No wonder this is Jung Kook and J-Hope’s quick fix for skin emergencies. My acne also flattened, but the cystic acne only flattens a little. But I’m not expecting it will be gone in 20 minutes anyway since this is only a treatment, not a miracle. But I’m definitely repurchasing this sheet mask, it will be my quick fix too when my skin feels irritated, or when that time of the month when hormones f**ks up your skin.
PROS: A quick fix for skin emergencies. It’s soothing, calming, smoothens the skin, vanished the little bumps on my skin and flattened my acne.
CONS: The sheet mask is too thin, it tears apart easily so you have to be very careful.
Mediheal W.H.P White Hydrating Black Mask Ex Review
WHAT: Claims to improve moisture retention in the skin, changing dehydrated skin into dewy, glowing skin. This one is Suga and V’s pick because they said it’s black charcoal on sheets! Despite its dark color, it actually brightens their faces.

HOW TO USE: After cleansing, apply the sheet mask gently and smooth out the edges. Leave it on for 10-20 minutes.
SCENT: Despite the charcoal ingredient, it actually has a mild floral scent.
TEXTURE: The sheet mask on the Mediheal W.H.P White Hydrating Black Mask Ex is not as thin as the Tea Tree sheet mask above, it’s just average thickness. The essence, however, is very runny like a toner. When I took out the sheet mask, it was dripping so I have to hurry to unwrap it because I felt like it will dry out immediately.
RESULT: The Mediheal W.H.P White Hydrating Black Mask Ex is the first ever black and charcoal sheet mask I ever used. I find it moisturizing, it made my skin feels so soft, and I think it kinda brightened my face too. But I’m not head over heels with it unlike the Tea Tree Care Solution Essential Mask Ex. I think this is best to use when you had a late night and you want your skin to look vibrant in the morning. Or you have a big day ahead, like a meeting, interview, attending a wedding or something where you want to look radiant.
PROS: It instantly moisturizes and brightens the skin. This is good for those who want to brighten their dull skin after a long night.
CONS: Don’t expect that this will vanish your dark spots. Yes, it brightens but I feel like its instant result is only temporary. If you want a long-term or permanent brightening effect, I suggest using a Vitamin C Serum instead.
VERDICT
No filter and no-makeup selfies. On the left is my face before I used the Mediheal Sheet Masks. And on the right is my selfie 2 days after I used both sheet masks. As you could see, the bumps on my cheeks and on the upper right lip were gone. My skin looks smoother as well! Take note, I didn’t use the sheet masks on the same night. I first used the Tea Tree Care Solution Essential Mask. And I followed the W.H.P White Hydrating Black Mask the next night.
Will I repurchase? I will definitely repurchase the Tea Tree Care Solution Essential Mask. But I’m not so sure about the W.H.P White Hydrating Black Mask.
