I don’t often wear foundations, but when I do, I like them to stay on my face at least the whole day. It’s not too much to ask, right? Well, I had a few successes finding such foundations, but the Fenty Foundation is quite pricey while the other L’Oreal Infallible foundation was too matte it looks cakey. So how about this one? Scroll down to read my L’Oreal Infallible Total Cover Liquid Foundation review.

PERFORMANCE
APPLICATION: Apply the Total Cover Liquid Foundation starting from the T-zone and blending out toward the edge of the face, this will create an even, flawless base. Take a step back and access any areas that need a little extra coverage. Gently press the additional product into these areas, Blend the edges for a smooth, full coverage finish.
SCENT: It has a mild powdery scent.
PACKAGING: I like that this one comes in tube package which is easy to carry especially when you travel and easy to squeeze to dispense the product. Plus, you can cut this in half to scrape off the remaining product.
FORMULA: L’Oreal Total Cover Liquid Foundation has a really thick and creamy texture.
RESULT: Despite the thick formula, it’s really easy to blend, feels light on the skin, and really smooth and natural finish. Not cakey at all even after a few minutes. So that already is a winner for me compared to its matte counterpart. You can blend it using your fingers, foam, or a brush. It does cover really well my blemishes too. And for the longevity, it does stay put almost the whole day. However, I still put finishing powder above it because it looks too dewy for my oily skin after several hours.
Lastly, you have to choose at least a shade lighter than your skin tone because it oxidizes. But not as much as the Fenty Foundation or its L’Oreal foundation matte counterpart were I had to get the two shades lighter than my actual skin tone.
Since I received three different shades, I tested which one will suit me better. My friend told me this is how you should test the shade, not on your wrist. Then wait for two minutes to see if it will oxidize. And then you got your shade. But sometimes I just mix two shades together to get the perfect shade.
VERDICT
PROS: Lightweight, natural finish, covers blemishes really well, and last really long.
CONS: Gets really dewy for those with oily skin.
This was my face after a whole day in the Desert Museum and birthday dinner with my family.
