I live in a tropical island country, so using a sunscreen every day is a must, especially that I also often use products with actives and acids like AHA, BHA, and Vitamin C. Those stuff will really make anyone’s skin vulnerable to the sun. But finding the right sunscreen for my oily, acne-prone, and sensitive skin was a little challenging. Even those highly rated sunscreens ended up breaking me out or too dewy and heavy for my liking. Finally, after hearing so much about this Japanese brand, I took a leap of faith and tried one of their many sunscreens. Keep reading if this Biore UV Perfect Face Milk review to know more about this product.
WHAT IS IT?
Biore UV Perfect Face Milk is an ultra-light, non-sticky texture sunscreen. Formulated with SPF50+/PA++++ for superior UV protection, it contains mattifying, sebum-absorbing powder to keep your skin shine-free. It can be even used as a makeup base. This is perfect everyday sun protection for oily to combination skin.
PERFORMANCE
APPLICATION: Shake the bottle well before dispensing the product. And then apply evenly on face after moisturizer and before applying makeup.
SCENT: It has a powdery scent.
FORMULA: It’s quite watery compared to most sunscreen, but with a slightly thick consistency. It’s like a full cream milk. You can read about its ingredients in its CosDNA analysis.
PACKAGING: It is packaged in a sturdy plastic bottle, and I like that it has a pointy nozzle so it’s quite easy to control the dispensing of the products. Plus, the packaging is minimal so it has less trash.
RESULTS: The formula may resemble a full cream milk but upon applying on your skin, the Biore UV Face Milk actually have a powdery-finish that is mattifying yet not drying and does not leave a white cast. Indeed, this is the perfect sunscreen for those with oily and combination skin. And a good makeup base as well.
I’m not sure about the longevity of this sunscreen, but I usually wake up around noon so it’s approximately only 5 hours of sunlight left whenever I wake up. So one application is enough for me. However, in the packaging, it says I will need a makeup remover to completely remove UV Face Milk on my skin so I double cleanse with Human Nature Bare Necessity Cleansing Balm and Cetaphil.
VERDICT
PROS: It has a powdery matte finish that isn’t drying. It is lightweight, doesn’t leave a white cast, and effectively protects your skin from the harmful UV rays. Plus, it’s a nice makeup base. Best of all, it didn’t break me out, but that last one depends on your skin because we all have different types of skin.
CONS: It’s too small for a product that needed to be used every day. But that’s the unfortunate fact when it comes to sunscreen, they’re always too small.
