Roses are not just gifts to women for special occasions or a lovely decoration for your home. Rose water is good for the skin as well, they help maintain the skin’s pH balance, and anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce the redness of the irritated skin, get rid of acne, dermatitis, and eczema. They also help hydrate, revitalize and moisturize the skin giving it with that refreshed look. Due to its antibacterial properties, rose water also aids in healing scars, cuts, and wounds. Lastly, the antioxidant properties of rose water help to strengthen skin cells and regenerate skin tissues. That’s why when iUnik approached me if I want to review their products, I already planned on writing an iUnik Rose Galactomyces Synergy Serum review before even replying to their email.
What is it?
iUnik Rose Galactomyces Synergy Serum promises to control sebum and improve pores, instant skin moisturization, whitening and wrinkle improvement. It contains rose water, Galactomyces fermentation water, Niancin amide, and Adenocin.
Performance
APPLICATION: After cleansing your face, and applying toner and essence, apply an adequate amount of iUink Rose Galactomyces Synergy Serum onto your face. Personally, I only use 2-3 drops.
SCENT: Despite containing rose water, this serum is actually unscented.
PACKAGING: This is packaged in a box (which I forgot to take a photo) which resembles the design of the bottle in the top photo. Both the bottle and the box have English instructions which are rare for a Korean brand. The bottle is made of glass, it’s not heavy and does not look elegant but it doesn’t feel cheap either. Lastly, the pipette looks like it’s not easy to break as well unlike in other serums. Trust me, I already experienced a broken pipette which was annoying.
RESULTS: I only have this product for less than a month and I’ll be honest, I’m not religiously using every day, however, this has been my go-to product whenever my skin feels a little off. I love the formula because it’s lightweight, not oily and not thick, unlike most serums. It absorbs quickly into my skin and it actually feels refreshing, reduces redness, and I love the sebum control! My skin also looks brighter and my pores look minimized in the morning when I apply this at night. Overall, this product gives me a healthy dewy glow while balancing my oily skin. But for the anti-wrinkle promise, as usual, I cannot guarantee this yet because I’m still in my early 20’s but my mom has been using this and I’ll update this post with her feedback.
Verdict
PROS: Lightweight, non-oily, scentless serum that brightens my face, minimizes the appearance of my pores, calms the skin, and controls sebum. Overall, it will give you a healthy dewy glow. Plus, it’s affordable.
CONS: As I mentioned above, I haven’t used this long so I haven’t encountered any issues yet. So I don’t find any issues.
