I think everyone has a beauty product that they hoard every time they have a chance because they’re afraid they may run out of it? Or is it just me? I hoard CosRX Acne Pimple Master Patch big time! You see, I suffer from acne and the thing with acne-prone skin is, it’s never-ending! They just come and go. So my goal now is instead of getting rid of them, I just make sure that it will not leave a scar like a dark spot or worst, an icepick scar. That is why every month, I stocked my so-called “Acne First Aid Kit” with essentials that will shrink and heal my acne plus prevent it from leaving a scar. One of the most important product in my kit is obviously the CosRx pimple patches, but they recently created a new pimple patch and of course, I tried it. WHAT IS IT?
CosRx Clear Fit Master Patch just like their original pimple patch is a hydrocolloid patch that helps treat and protect skin wounds, but unlike the original, it is invisible thus the name “clear” on the label. It shields damaged and injured skin; prevents bacteria from further infecting wounds; helps speed up healing and recovery; and most importantly, it won’t be visible under makeup; excellent in covering up lesions or cuts. PERFORMANCE
APPLICATION: Remove the patches from the film and attach them to the fully dried lesion or a recently popped pimple or when its head already appeared. Remove or replace the patches when they become white due to the preservation of exudates.
SCENT: It does not have a scent.
PACKAGING: It is packaged like the original CosRx Acne Pimple Master Patch. It has a zipped foil pouch and sticks onto a film but this time the patches are easier to remove because the film splits as you could see in the photo below.
TEXTURE: Compared to the original CosRx Acne Pimple Master Patch, this one is so clear and thin, it’s hard to make it appear in a photo of it. It’s even hard to notice on your face in real life or even on your selfie. Just make sure the person you’re talking to is not too close to your face and find the right angle for the selfie where the CosRx Clear Fit Master Patch will not look shiny.
RESULT: I actually like this better than the original pimple patches because it works the same by sucking all the puss on my acne (when the head is already out or I accidentally picked it while washing my face) but I can use this in the daytime because it’s almost unnoticeable. I can even wear this under my makeup! Even when I didn’t pick my pimple, it’s just a red bump, I still use this and cover it with makeup. Of course, throughout the day when my makeup starts the wear up, its edges are appearing but it’s normal with any other patches available in the market. Lastly, make sure your skin is dry from cleansing, serum, or moisturizer you used before applying these patches or else the adhesive will not work. It will slide down.
VERDICT
PROS: It really protects your acne and sucks all the puss while you wear it. It can also be worn on daytime when you go out and under your makeup. Plus, it’s really affordable. A must-have for anyone who is prone to acne.
CONS: I honestly don’t see any cons.
