February is the coldest month in the Philippines, and during the cold season I tend to drink less water thus I get dry skin not just on my face but even on my legs and arms. Last year House of Vanity sent me a bunch of beauty products to try and I wrote a bunch of reviews including my favorite the Organic Mist Sunscreen Spray with SPF 50. But does this product is as helpful as the organic mist? Keep reading my Body Luxe Body Butter review to know more.
WHAT IS IT?
The Body Butter by Body Luxe claims to moisturize your skin like no other. It is lusciously made from the combination of Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, and Honey to lock in the moisture on your skin leaving it soft and supple. It is indicated to relieve skin dryness, cracked foot, soothed sunburn, razor burns and burns and can be used to prevent the formation of stretch marks.
APPLICATION: There’s no right and wrong way of using a body butter but I personally like applying this after I had a bath especially after I shaved my legs.
SCENT: It has a vanilla scent and a hint of butter.
TEXTURE: If you bake, and by that, I mean baking an actual cake, then you’ll find this body butter’s texture a bit familiar because it’s like a softened butter and it does smell like vanilla and butter. That said, I suggest to keep this away from children because they might think its edible.
RESULT: This product just immediately moisturizes my dry skin. It instantly feels smooth and smells so nice. It also works on the cracked heels so those who wear high heels for their work, I recommend this product to you. And it does soothe my freshly-shaved legs as well. Although I’m not sure about the stretch mark preventions and soothing burns because I haven’t tried this body butter on it. I like this product a lot, but I will only use this when the weather is cold because it’s too moisturizing for summer. It melds nicely into the skin but there’s a heavy feeling to it.
PROS: It instantly moisturizes your skin and your cracked heels, soothe razor burns and smells nice despite the hint of butter.
CONS: This body butter is too heavy for summer and humid weather.
