Nature Republic Forest Garden Chamomile Cleansing Oil Review

When I started getting interested in Korean Beauty, the cleansing oil is the product that I often hear. I was hesitant on trying it at first because why would I use a cleansing oil when I have an oily skin. My main concern is that it may make my skin more oily than it already is, but I was WRONG! Keep reading my Nature Republic Forest Garden Chamomile Cleansing Oil review to know why.

What is it?

Nature Republic Forest Garden Chamomile Cleansing Oil claims to wash off every speck of dirt and makeup while leaving skin super soft and moisturized. It contains the active ingredient of natural Chamomile Oil that protects sensitive skin from various harmful materials and stress and natural Jojoba Oil that removes makeup without leaving skin feeling “tight.” The non-greasy formula gives a cooling sensation.

PERFORMANCE

APPLICATION: Dispense an appropriate amount (2-3 pumps) on your dry palm and gently massage it onto the dry face. And then wet your hands with water, continue to lightly massage it onto the face until the oil turns into a milky color, and wash off with warm water. But take note, this is for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes and mouth. Discontinue use if signs of irritation or rash appear. Keep out of reach of children.

SCENT: The scent of this product is actually very familiar to me, it smells exactly like a coconut oil.

PACKAGING: As expected from the Nature Republic, the box is made with environmental-friendly materials. While the bottle comes with a pump which makes it very easy to dispense the product. It also comes with a lock, so if you’re going to take this on a trip it won’t leak inside your bag.

RESULTS: I was hesitant to jump on the cleansing oil bandwagon because I have an oily skin, but honestly, this product made my skin cleaner and less oily to my surprise. It effectively removes my makeup, even my eyeliner (with a help of a cotton bud) and mascara by massaging my fingers on it but be careful on getting it in contact with your eyes, if it does, wash it off immediately.

I used this too even when I don’t have a makeup on, and I noticed that those gunk inside my pores (you know, those little things that a facialist removes) also gets remove! After washing off the Nature Republic Forest Garden Chamomile Cleansing Oil, my skin is thoroughly clean and feels so soft.

I tested Nature Republic Forest Garden Chamomile Cleansing Oil on my water-proof Tony Moly eyeliner, Etude House 101 Contour Stick, and ColourPop Ultra Matte Lips. As You could see above, the rest of the makeup washes off after a massage. Only a tiny spec of the ColourPop remains, but then this cleansing oil is the face and not for the lips. (And kudos to ColourPop!)

Verdict

PROS: It leaves your skin soft and clean. It also safe to use for those with oily or sensitive skin. And a 200mL goes a long way. Seriously, I used mine for over six months! I think it’s almost a year.

CONS: It does not work on matte liquid lipsticks.

Will I buy it again? Absolutely! Since it’s also affordable.
