A few days ago I received Tmart’s 10-Piece Affordable Makeup Brushes for a review. In here I’ll break down to you about its quality, what I think about it, and the frequently asked question, is it worth buying?

Contouring is the most popular makeup trend right now. The Kardashians make us wanna do it, while those beauty vloggers make us believe that it is as easy as we see it on their vlogs. To help you practice contour because practice makes perfect as they say, you should have at least the following: foundation, concealer, bronzer, highlighter and of course, makeup brushes.

If you’re just a beginner or an amateur, I suggest opting for affordable makeup brushes for now then invest on high-end ones later when your skill really has improved. And that’s where this 10-piece professional makeup brushes from Tmart comes in.

What is it?

The Tmart 10-piece High-Quality Cosmetic Makeup Brushes Set is an affordable professional makeup brush which composes of five different foundation and eyeshadow brushes. Adopting high-grade synthetic hair, all brushes feature soft and skin-friendly texture. The handles are made of wood and aluminum which are smooth and ergonomic to hold, very comfortable to use. The makeup brush set is so compact and portable that you can carry it when you are traveling or on a trip.

Blush Brush: Used to apply blush and highlighters. This can double as a powder brush if you’re applying in the smaller area. // Flat Brush: Used for blending the foundation, concealer, bronzer, and highlighters.

Angled Flat Brush: Mostly used for blending the bronzers and highlighters. // Contour Blush Brush: Others mostly use this to apply bronzers to create contours to the face, but some uses this too on the abs and cleavage.

Small Flat Brush: Used for blending bronzers and highlighters on the smaller areas like the nose. // Foundation Brush: This brush goes hand in hand with liquid, cream or mousse formulations of the foundation or blush. The right foundation brush must be synthetic, like this Tmart affordable professional makeup brush, to ensure seamless application and blending.

Blending Brush: This brush, because it is loosely packed, helps buff and blend eyeshadow colors seamlessly. // Bullet Brush: Use this brush to create or define the eye crease. You can also use this to smoke out eyeliners on the upper and lower lash lines.

Angled Small Flat Brush: Used for blending on the nose and eyes. // Angled Blending Brush: Use for blending the eyeshadow.

Packaging: For $12, I’m honestly not expecting a velvet pouch, or anything fancy. It was just packed individually on slim plastics and then packed in one large plastic. Nothing fancy. But the handles are very nice! I love the pastel pink color and the aluminum. Not as fancy as my Elizabeth Arden makeup brushes, but it doesn’t look cheap at all which is a plus for me.

Application: The brushes are soft but sturdy enough for application and blending. It doesn’t brittle or falls whenever you use it. It’s actually quite good compared to other makeup brushes on this price bracket.

PROS: It’s very affordable! Only $12 or Php585 for a 10-piece professional brush set. It doesn’t look cheap and the quality is really nice.

CONS: The only disappointment hears, for me at least, is the angled flat brush and angled blending brush. I find them unnecessary since there’s already a small flat brush and blending brush which just do the same. I wish they just included an eyeshadow and concealer brushes instead.

Is it worth buying? If you’re just starting or an amateur, I highly recommend the Tmart affordable professional makeup brushes set. They’re great for practice and everyday use for yourself, and a few friends. It doesn’t look cheap and the synthetic brush has quality.

Where to buy?
