The circle hair clip may be the latest hair accessory trend that will soon see everywhere, and by everywhere I mean street style photos.
When it comes to hair trends, it’s always the hair styles and colors that are trending. Like the pixie hair, long bob, ombré, and the still going-strong unicorn hair trend. While in accessories, it’s like men’s fashion trends, it happens once in a while. Like the scrunchy back in the 80’s, the headband in 2005 and the flower crown two years ago.
Like the headband and flower crown when they trended, the round hair clips aren’t exactly new. We just didn’t recognize its “cool factor” until someone made it cool. Just look how cool it looks on a messy pony tail (left photo). That’s one way to wear it using full circle hair clip set ($18) from Nasty Gal.
It was actually Celiné Spring/Summer 2015 show that introduced this new hair accessory trend. The circle hair clip is simple and very chic with variety of styles. Another way to style it is what I call the “Kate Middleton Look” Do you remember her hairstyle on her Royal Wedding? Her her was down but some portion were up. That was kinda the hairstyle showed from the Celiné fashion show and they were clipped with round hair clips.
If you’re not into the up/down hairdo a la Kate Middleton, you can go back to pony tail but this time a little but simpler by using one circle hair clip. Grab a dry shampoo or anything you use regularly to style your hair. Make your hair wavy or anything you do to add texture to it, then clipped it with a circle hair clip. Just make sure you’ll use a bigger clip for this one.

But if you’re not into messy look but likes pony tails, you might like these three other hairstyles below. The first look is sleek and high, perfect for those who don’t want any hair falling on their faces. It’s a good school hairstyle. The second look is also sleek but the circle hair clip is placed a little lower and it’s simple yet a bit elegant. And lastly, the third look, it’s a little difficult and you will not only need a circle hair clip, you will also need a hair tie. The actual accessory used on the photo was ASOS Open Circle Hair Tie $9. It’s a nice hairstyle for music festivals. But take note, you might need someone to help you with the look. And practice before actually rocking it.
