Is it fall season already? I can’t tell because a) there’s no really “fall season” in the Philippines. We only have wet and dry seasons even though we follow the four season trends. And b) my favorite TV series and new series I’m looking forward to watch aren’t yet aired. But whatever it is, it’s good to know the upcoming trends. That’s why Spring and Summer collections are presented during fall season, right? So here’s a trend report starting with the best nail polish colors for fall season.
This particular color was spotted at shows such as Derek Lam and Marchesa during the Fall 2015 season. And personally, I think this color flatters any skin tone. Don’t you agree? From Left to Right: Dior Nail Vernis Fall Cosmopolite Collection $27 • Essie’s In the Lobby $9 • Chanel Coup De Coeur $27 (NOTE: You can buy the entire Essie’s Fall 2015 Collection for $17 here)
Camouflage or lush greens are also in this season. I never like green color because it gives me migraines, literally. But I can’t deny that it looks good especially the darker hues on nails. From left to right: Illamasqua Rampage $23 • NARS Night Porter $19 • Chanel Vert Obscur $27
This one is a classic fall shade. Very vampy yet elegant but if you want something with a hint of shimmer you can try Essie’s Frock n’ Roll. From left to right: Essie’s Frock n’ Roll $9 • Deborah Lippmann ‘Roar’ $18 • Dolce & Gabbana Amethyst $27
Spotted at shows such as Costello Tagliapetra and Karen Walker, jewel tone blues will be a go-to as the weather cools down. From left to right: Julep Wonder Maven Charmaine $14 • Dior Darling Blue $27 • Essie’s Spun in Luxe $9
Honestly, neutrals will always be a must-have, no matter what the season. It’s the “little black dress” of the nail polish colors. It’s versatile and perfect for any occasions. From left to right: Sally Hansen Grey-t Escape $8 • Smith & Cult Feathers & Flesh $18 • OPI Nail Lacquer I Cannoli Wear $10
