April is just two days away from today, which means Wedding season is upon us! June aka the “wedding month” is only two months away. If you’re a bride-to-be or planning a wedding for a friend or client, you’re in luck because I just had a thorough research (meaning I spent hours on Pinterest) of the most awesome 2015 wedding trends.
1. British Invasion
If you’re a fan of the TV series “Downtown Abbey” then this British Invasion on weddings is no surprise. The show is an influx of stylish details for every party, most specially on weddings. Those afternoon tea and garden parties from the show are just so dreamy, sophisticated and elegant. Practically what most brides want for their big day.
2. Coachella-Themed Wedding
Due to extreme popularity of Coachella fashion (and hipsters) for the past several years, it is no surprise either that Coachella-themed weddings are so huge this 2015. Bohemian brides will surely love this kind of theme but I guarantee non-boho brides will like this too. Just imagine flower crowns for your bridesmaid and flower girls, feathers half-dipped in glitters, camping tents, specialty craft beers on personalized mason jars, colorful banderitas and more flowers! And don’t forget the rustic yet romantic, personal and elevated vibe that this theme brings.
3. Third Dress
This trend is perfect for those fashion-forward brides who just can’t decide on one dress. Why have one dress when you can have three? I’m sure we’ve all heard of brides (like Kim Kardashian on her wedding with Kanye West) changing their dress for the reception and late night after-party. These brides are choosing three different gowns for each part of the wedding: A ball gown for the ceremony, a sleek sheath for the reception and then a short minidress for the after-party. It sounds like a lot of fun, but if you’re worried that having three wedding dresses will not fit your budget, check out this store called Dresshop. They have vast array of affordable yet stylish and trendy wedding dresses. But if you can’t still find the three perfect dresses on their vast selection or something for your bridesmaids, try going to OK Dress, they have affordable and stylish dresses too.
4. Artistic Photo Booth
Since almost everyone are sharing everything in social media, wedding photo booth is as important as the wedding cake now. An artisanal, artistic twist on photobooths are very trendy this 2015 and I bet it will be around for a very long time. Some couples are even hiring artists for their photo booths while some prefers guests to leave a very personal memento.
5. Wedding Hashtag
Photo booths are fun, but the fun do no longer stop at the booth or within guests. Most weddings nowadays have their own “Wedding Hashtag.” All guests are asked to use a hashtag crafted specially for the wedding like #BradgelinaWedding when they post their photos on social media, while some couples are even hiring latest versions of photo booths that uploads the photos directly to social media with the special hashtag.
Which of these 2015 Wedding Trends would like to do on your big day?
