Fashion Trends, no matter how they fascinates us we usually predict what they will be next season but there are rare instances that they just surprise us. You just wake up one day and see a lot of people wearing the same thing and like boom! Here’s a new trend! That’s exactly what I felt when I learned about this new shirt layering trend this spring season. Though I’ve seen this kind of layering years ago and even did it myself back in my freshman year in high school but I never expected it will be back this year.
I think the Prada S/S 2014 influenced this trend. If you can recall their spring 2014 collection, besides those eye-catching trench coats with graphic print face designs -that dominated the street style scene these recent fashion month- they also have tops and dresses with “bralet illusion” or rather, constructed with them which will give you an illusion that the person is wearing a bustier or bralet over her shirt but actually it’s really part of the garment.

Since fashion people are very creative people, I guess instead on investing on new clothes they just recreated these interesting Prada looks with stuff they have in their closets like bustier and bralets which had been dominating the lingerie area of our closets since 2010 and for the shirt, well there are button-ups, turtle necks and even simple t-shirts like these examples below.
